• Wellness

It's nice to rest in the outdoor saltwater pool and enjoy the view of the mountains. For some, this alone is wellness, while others only find peace with a massage, and only a very specific one.

We take your wish for individuality into account with an extremely varied offer. With an open eye for the most diverse methods, we have set out to find the most popular, effective and interesting treatments. We have found what we are looking for both in the Occident with its multitude of tried and tested forms of therapy - which now represent our core competence - and in the Orient and the Far East. Free of any doctrine, our focus is on your health - and of course on the beauty of the moment.

• Adelboden

The valley of Adelboden is one of the most beautiful alpine landscapes in Switzerland. The more than 100-year-old health resort has largely withstood the test of time by preserving its authentic character as a mountain village and its intact nature. Adelboden is situated on a sunny terrace at 1400 meters at the foot of the Wildstrubel in the Engstligen valley in the western part of the Bernese Oberland. With its southeast exposure, the village has very favorable sunshine conditions (over 12 hours per day in summer).

Of course we want to offer you more than just beautiful views and comfort - also encounters, handouts and many little extras that you will remember with pleasure even after your vacation.

• Guest aperitif

We would like to meet you and get to know you. A nice opportunity to get into conversation with you and with us is the guest aperitif, to which we cordially invite you. It takes place at the beginning of each week.

• Walking pass included

With the hiking pass, which we give you during the summer season, the mountain world is at your feet. You enjoy free travel on Adelboden's mountain railroads and buses from June 9 to October 21, 2012. Let yourself be carried to the most beautiful panoramic mountains, to Tschentenalp, Silleren, to the high alpine plateau of Engstligenalp and to the airy Hahnenmosspass. We are also happy to advise you on hiking.

• Guided hikes

Hiking invigorates the mind, body and senses. And often the way is the goal. With this in mind, Gaby Zumbach is organizing the newly introduced guest hikes, which will take place every Tuesday from June (postponed to Thursday in case of rain) and will last between 2 and 4 hours - tailored to the physical condition of the guests.

• Mountain bikes and e-bikes

The very sporty explore the region on our mountain bikes. Six bikes of the brand Koba with LX components and in different sizes are at your free disposal as a service of the hotel.

Those who prefer the gentle tour: Four e-bikes of the brand "Stromer" are at your disposal from June 14. With these you can explore the mountains and valleys without breaking a sweat and at a brisk pace, overcoming considerable differences in altitude. CHF 30.- for the full-day excursion, CHF 20.- for the half-day excursion.

• Dine-Around

Dine in the hotel or out? On three days of the week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) you have the possibility to enjoy your dinner in another hotel of your choice. Would you otherwise like to dine out, enjoy a fondue in rustic surroundings? Of course you can do this at any time by signing out for dinner.

• Diets and culinary wishes

Do you require a special diet or nutrition? We are happy to cater to your very individual needs, whether you are intolerant to lactose, glucose, gluten or have other allergies. Our chefs are experienced in preparing diets and will be happy to fulfill any other culinary requests you may have.

• Talks around wine

Wines are for drinking and enjoying. In addition, they offer inexhaustible narrative material, which we do not want to withhold from you. Now and then we open our cellar - for tastings and conversations with you. We also regularly hold Wine&Dine events.

• Winter season: Movement program

From late fall into spring, instead of hikes, exercise lessons are held six times a week (at 8 am), alternating with Aqua Fit, Nordic and Masai Walking, also Pilates, Body Forming, Gymnastics, Feldenkrais and Chi Ball. The lessons are led by Gaby Zumbach, our movement therapist of many years.

• Winter season: Ski trips with picnics.

They have a long tradition and enjoy great popularity - our weekly picnics at Geils. Director Martin Müller awaits you at our regular spot with a fine Bernese platter. The picnic site is located slightly above the Luegli valley station and is easily accessible for both skiers and winter hikers (bus to Geils).

• Winter season: Shuttle bus

We want to spare you waiting times. So that you can avoid the big rush at the connecting cable car Adelboden-Oey, we offer you a shuttle service. The hotel's own bus runs in the high season both in the morning and in the afternoon between the hotel and Oey, this from Monday to Friday between 9.30 am and 11 am and in the afternoon from 4 pm to 5 pm. The restaurant "belle vue" is a place to enjoy. During the day the light floods in and one is tempted to believe that nature is growing into the house.
